GreenYellow, a leading provider of solar energy solutions, specializing in solar power production and energy efficiency enhancement, and Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, have announced a strategic partnership to drive clean energy adoption. This collaboration underscores their shared commitment to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. The partnership features a rooftop solar installation at Unilever's Minburi factory in Ladkrabang Industrial Estate, under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which has commenced commercial operation. The project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,544 tons annually, equivalent to planting over 34,000 trees.
As a solar energy solutions provider, GreenYellow is committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by supporting leading organizations like Unilever. The company has invested in all solar infrastructure while taking responsibility for maintenance and power generation quality control throughout the contract period. This comprehensive approach ensures maximum efficiency in clean energy production, demonstrating GreenYellow's ongoing commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity.
As a key partner, Unilever has provided rent-free rooftop space at its Minburi factory for the installation of a 2.36 megawatt peak (MWp) solar energy system, along with a commitment to purchase all generated clean power. Beyond reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,544 tons annually - equivalent to planting 34,000 trees - this collaboration demonstrates how businesses can effectively combine environmental benefits with efficient energy cost management. This model serves as an example for other organizations looking to advance clean energy adoption.
